Located 90 Miles south of the US border in Key West, Cuba has been off limits to US visitors since the 1960’s. Because of the trade embargo between the US and Cuba in the 1960’s much of the islands history has been preserved. In 2014 that ban was lifted and American’s are now able to visit with a special visa that can be purchased at MIA before leaving to Havana. Or by clicking HERE and buying the pink tourist card for direct travel to Havana from the US. Most establishments accept US dollars or Credit Cards and ATM’s are easily accessible.

The retreat will take place in two places with private transportation provided. Villa Magic in Havana is located in the prime area of the Santos Suarez neighborhood. The original structure of the hotel has been maintained but has been completely renovated inside to modern luxury. Villa Los Miranda in Vinales is a private residential complex in the heart of the town. For those seeking to remain grounded, as an alternative to rock climbing, a car can be arranged for you from the hotel in Vinales to the beach.

Tourism is Cuba’s greatest income, therefore tourists are quite safe. However, caution and common sense should always be applied. Visa’s for US residents can be purchased at the Miami International Airport American Airlines check-in desk.
